Lott selected for North-South All-Star Game

Marcus Lott, a 6-1, 180-pound defensive back, will represent Union County.

Lott has 58 tackles, three for loss, an interception and eight pass break-ups on the year.

"Marcus is a leader, a good student and an excellent ball player," said coach David Lipsey. "We've played him at safety, at corner and at times on offense. He's a versatile athlete.

"He's a good football player, one of the leaders of our defense. He's a hard worker on the field, in the weight room and in the class room."

Union County (6-4, 5-2) hosts Belton-Honea Path on Friday in the opening round of the Class 3A playoffs.
